Welcome to Roy's Collection of 19th Century Kerosene Lamps
Kerosene lamps come in all sizes, shapes, colors and values. Lamps can be classified in several ways. "Lomax Lamps" were named after the inventor who patented the oil guard drip edge. Duncan lamps were named after the glass company that manufactured them. Some are classified by their use: wall lamps, library lamps, railroad lamps, etc. Most lamps such as the bullseye lamp are named after the patterns on the font of the lamp. My collection consists of a variety of classification types. However, the Lomax Lamp is my pride and joy. I have over 40 different lamps with the Lomax Oil Guard font and I am always looking for more. So browse though my site and enjoy the wonderful world of the kerosene lamp.
